Our visit to lovely designer, Fi Mehra!

On our way back from visiting family on the south coast a couple of weeks ago we dropped in to see Fi Mehra, she of the gorgeous silver and gold jewellery designs we sell here at iapetus. Taking full advantage of a few days off, we saw Stonehenge (a first for Chris!) and then trundled a few miles over to Fi’s house where we were warmly welcomed with a lunch in her beautiful garden and met her husband and little dog too.

Fi’s house is chock-full of beautiful things, and she showed us pieces from her favourite artists gathered over the years, (including some that came from our own gallery!). At the bottom of the garden is the studio, and we were treated to a sneaky view of Fi’s workspace, that magical place where the artist’s alchemy bubbles away and produces all those wonderful necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets!

Even better fun was the chance to look at all of Fi’s lovely ranges, which we just don’t get time to do at the trade shows. We had a sneak preview of her new collections for September. And she was working on a brand new range of charms, which we are jolly excited about, since they are exclusive to us at iapetus and have since arrived with us just as beautiful as expected. The charms include boats, clouds, leaves, flowers, stars, suns, acorns, pearls, starbursts and hearts. They can be attached in any combination to bracelets and necklaces to create a unique and personal piece of jewellery, and can be added to over time. Take a look now to see the brand new charms!
